We are up in Monterey visiting family, so we took a little drive up the coast to visit Santa Cruz. It was a mellow day, but the weather was beautiful! We had a nice little walk and some great food at the Dolphin Cafe.

This is how smart the new neighbors are...washing the car while it is still raining....seriously the entire ground isn't wet from this morning! Don't they know we are supposed to conserve water?!?!
My kids have been in his or her fair share of trouble, but nothing tops what Miss. Charleigh did last Friday. I normally do not check my cell phone at work, but I finished patients early and for some reason decided to check my phone and I had 13 missed phone calls! Right away my mind started racing, so I check my voice mail. It is our neighbor, he has Charleigh.
You may think okay, she just got out not a big deal.....nope! Charleigh and Maverick thought that since it was rainy day and the ground was soft that they would dig a hole to the next door neighbor's yard.
Now, not only did the two of them dig a hole, Charleigh decided that she would take a little adventure into the yard. I guess she like the yard so much she wanted to check out the rest of the property. So she let herself into their house by way of the doggy door. She made herself right at home with getting into their trash and spreading it all over. Tore up some paper plates among other items. I guess she was hungry so helped herself to the cat's and dog's food and when she was full decided to take a little nap. And somewhere in this adventure had some fun with Sandy's (neighbor's dog) toys.
When the neighbor's got home and found her inside they freaked out a little...15 phone calls in 1 hour...after a 2 hour drive home to rescue my little trouble-maker we had a little chat about behavior and how she needs to stay on her own property. Charleigh went straight to her crate in the garage and fell asleep with her ear covering her eye to block out the garage light and slept for the next 3 hours...
I have seen a lot of different vehicles throughout the years from attending car shows with my Daddy and Brother. BUT I have never seen anything like this Mercedes. I think he wants to make a statement and have the attention. There isn't a person that doesn't walk by a little slower, make a comment, or like me pull out the cell phone and snap a picture. I guess you can take the man out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the man.
Note: Horns on front with fake exhaust pipes coming out of the trunk
I have been going to Supercross with my family for as long as I can remember. We go down early to tailgate at watch the practice races and to see who to look out for in the evening racing. Again this year we had to fight the rain and we did it. We had awesome seats, but we did get a little wet when the rain came. Despite the rain we all had a great time and saw some awesome racing. Ricky Carmichael will always be my favorite rider, but Kevin Windham is a close 2nd! Last night we were able to see history made by Chad Reed #22 who is the first rider to win 6 times at the "Murph"/Q!
I LOVE my Mexican food! I stick to the basic...Bean and Cheese Burrito. Since I have moved up to Menifee last February I have been on the hunt for something that is comparable to Mr. Taco or Santana's from back home. I have not been able to find anything until we ventured farther North on the 215 freeway. I was so excited when I saw the Santana's Food sign from the freeway. I wasn't even hungry but I had to eat my burrito to see how it compares to home. It was FANTASTIC! I no longer have to drive 50 mins to satisfy my craving, its only 10 mins away...WOOHOO! I plan on having many trips to the new Santana's!!!
:::Mouthwatering and heart pitter patting with excitement!:::
Fun trips to the desert. Here are the hounds hanging out in the shade and Charleigh making sure she protects her area from the Rottie that is next door.
:::Maverick hanging out:::
:::Charleigh making sure the Rottie stays away from her motorhome:::
Hands down I have to say the TOP GUN is my ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE! I can watch this movie everyday, multiple times a day. I know the dialog almost perfectly, use one liners from the movie almost everyday, and hope that one of these times Goose will live. I have been told that I am a little obsessed by friends and family. Example, my lovable 'hounds are name after the movie Maverick Thomas and Charleigh Grace (changed it up a little so people wouldn't think she was a boy) ...oh and when I got married instead of using the traditional song "Here comes the Bride" I walked down to Top Gun Anthem song....oh yes, you read that right. Top Gun Anthem played and I LOVED every minute of it!
Now I know they have mentioned that they want to re-make the movie or make a sequel. I don't know how that will turn out, but I do know that I will be the first in line to buy tickets to see it.
Here is my song with video courtesy of Youtube, Enjoy, It is BRILLIANT!!!.
